What is Microneedling?

A treatment with the Dermapen is a treatment in which the skin is perforated in a soft and controlled manner and at a predetermined depth with very fine needles made of surgical steel.

The skin is thus stimulated to produce collagen and elastin. During the treatment, controlled damages are made in the skin, leaving the skin on the surface intact.

Inside, there is a controlled inflammatory response that triggers a healing process in the skin. This healing process stimulates, among other things, the natural production of collagen and elastin.

Microneedling causes your skin to plumpen and thicken, ultimately reducing the appearance of scars, fine lines and other skin texture changes.

Skin reaction: The skin may turn pink to red after the treatment. It is also possible that the skin will flake or swell slightly.

This reaction will last for about 10-15 minutes but it depends on the person and skin.

There is no immediate result after the treatment this is because it takes the skin six to eight weeks to form collagen. Collagen formation depends on the production from the body itself, the so-called recovery capacity. The formation of collagen and elastin continues for months after the Dermapen treatment! The skin gets an increasingly healthier color and becomes smoother and tighter! We therefore advise you to take this treatment as a cure, so that we can get everything out of your skin in a short period of time!

No, not if you do it right, Yet we regularly get this question. Your face may be a bit red for a day, but this quickly disappears. Your skin will not bleed. There are several videos on Youtube of bloodied faces after a microneedling treatment. This is absolutely not the intention, and the result of poor handling
When should you not be treated?

– During a pregnancy

– When you have an active facial infection

– Malignant skin condition

– Sunburnt skin

– Autoimmune disease

– If you have had botox and fillers placed less than 2 weeks ago
