Hi Christy,

We’ve added a disclaimer to the article! We recommend shopping for recycled polyester above virgin polyester, as it uses considerably less petroleum to create and generates less carbon emissions in production! While we wholeheartedly understand that 100% natural fibers are best, we know that most garments wouldn’t have stretch without polyester, and feel that rPET is a safer, more environmentally friendly option. Hope this helps to clarify! xx

Hi Pip! Bamboo is an excellent material, and we’re excited to see it showing up on more labels (plus, it’s so soft!) We’ve added to the list, and are excited to continue to build this fabric glossary in the future. Thank you for your comment! Xx

Thanks for this feedback, Kate! We’ve added a note to readers to look for Ahimsa silk, which is a really helpful reminder for those of us looking to invest in ethical & sustainable goods. Xx

Hi Lanie! You should be able to gently steam most fabrics, but we recommend spot testing or reading up on your exact piece/blend first before doing so. x – The Good Trade
