It takes sometime to embrace your awkwardness and it comes only once you’ve learned to accept yourself and not take life so seriously. I truly believe one of our greatest skills is the ability to laugh at ourselves when we goof up.

I was born without any grace or hand-eye coordination, and since I am also blind in one eye I don’t have good depth perception. I’m the clumsiest person you’ll ever meet. Everyone finds it endearing, not embarrassing. It took me a long time, but I’ve embraced being the forever-klutz.

Just a quick slip of the finger. I’m also really trying to embrace the part of « asking ā€œdumbā€ questions instead of staying confusedĀ Ā». I find it actually makes me come across as authentic and invested and then I learn and grow more quickly!

The leader thought she shared just one section of her OneNote to the team after a meeting concluded, but instead she shared her ENTIRE OneNote account with all her notes about teammates and their performance reviews. She dropped an “F” bomb and quickly tried to undo it once someone told her what she did, but unfortunately it was no laughing matter at the time. It’s tough to say if anyone else even noticed it, but looking back, I did laugh quietly to myself because there was nothing else I could think of to help support her in that moment. I hope she finds it funny now!

Thank you for the permission in this article to take ourselves less seriously and not sweat it when things land weird. I can definitely say I feel much safer with people who are comfortable in their own cutely human, awkward skin than people who are always on guard about how they’re being perceived. This was a lovely read!

I looked and looked until a teacher passed by and said can i help you. When I told her I was looking for drumsticks she quickly pointed out the big blue box of ice cream and there was a moment of awkward silence as I had an ohhh moment in my head. Instead of looking for the Drumstick ice cream, I was in search of chicken wings. I guess Pizza & wings seemed like a more appealing combo at the time Lol

It was obvious who the note was for and I only deleted it after one of my employees told me what I did. I thought everyone would lose respect for me but it blew over quickly.
