Often times we even joke that “hot girls have tummy troubles.” But recently I found “The Calm Gut” app. It is IBS Hypnotherapy. Basically healing the mind-gut connection via relaxation and mental exercise. I am hooked. That app paired with a mild probiotic has effectively saved my gut and my emotional state.

And finding adequate health care professionals especially when younger that look into the psyche sufficiently is so difficult. This actually happened to me as well where I was having the worst stomach problems around 12 and had to get an enema and got on the FODMAP diet, everything but nothing was working. Meanwhile my home life was abusive. This just goes to *share* this article is so spot on and we need to continue to check in as we can numb everything out then everything comes on at once by EOD.

I have been struggling with gut issues for over a decade now. I went to doctors here in UK but never really got to the roots of it. Recently, out of immense curiosity, I studied Holistic Nutrition, from a well recognised institute in India which focused on overall wellbeing and taught about mind -gut connection. Everything I learnt made so much sense. After the birth of my second child, amidst all the joy she brought into my life, I was also suffering a lot of stress and anxiety due to unstable circumstances and problems within my family life so much so that it lead to early menopause at the age of 40. Anyways, I had found the root cause to my gut problem, my anxiety and stress levels, so apart from following a healthy diet, good sleep (I am still working on this but it has improved from before), and exercise I have also started working on my mental health by taking upon journaling on daily basis (trust me this has helped me a lot), walks in the nature, reading good motivational books, breathing exercises and chanting and mediation. I still have days where everything feels out of control but I detour and start again. That’s what life is all about I guess. Our bodies are intricate, and so is life.
